PRODUCT INFORMATION
The “kinchaku bag” was inspired by the reassuring feeling of the drawstring pouches our mothers gave us to carry as children.
Through much trial and error in design, material selection and sewing, this drawstring bag was crafted with close attention to its soft drape and the balance of every part.
What we pursued above all was the beautiful drape that forms when the drawstring is pulled closed. After testing many combinations of outer material and lining, we achieved a natural, soft form.
The main material is Japanese cowhide carefully selected for this bag from leathers across Japan. It is combined with wax-finished Roroma leather. As you use it, the wax works into the leather and the luster gradually deepens, a patina that is part of its charm.
The lining is a specially treated fabric with a brushed, suede-like texture. Its smooth touch gently cradles your belongings.
Inside, a pocket with a divider keeps small items such as your wallet and smartphone organized.
Harmonizing the rich character of natural leather with a soft silhouette, this is a bag that accompanies you on everyday outings.
