With this philosophy, we revisited the familiar classic bifold wallet from the ground up and crafted giglio by hand.
REVERSE
When the face of Horween shell cordovan is used for a product, it undergoes skiving to make its thickness uniform. This separates the leather into front and reverse layers. The reverse bears Horween's stamp and is a section that usually stays out of sight.
REVERSE is a special giglio that makes this reverse side the star.

The Horween stamp appears on one portion of the leather. Its intensity varies: some stamps remain clear, while many are faded or only partly visible.
Depending on where the leather is cut, the stamp may not appear at all.
Leather with a beautifully clear stamp like this is therefore exceptionally rare. No two pieces look exactly alike.

The split reverse layer still varies in thickness, so each piece is carefully skived again to even it out. We spare no effort, even in unseen processes, to achieve a beautiful finish.

The coin pocket features the HORWEEN USA stamp. The numbers stamped below it are a control marking indicating the size of the leather. We retain these traces of Horween's leather management as part of the design.

This supple, smooth leather exudes refined elegance, adding a subtle touch of sophistication whenever you open the wallet and handle your bills.
・Bill compartment: Pueblo (Noce), Pueblo (Sabbia)
Made using traditional Italian techniques, this leather has a distinctive matte texture with a deliberately buffed surface. Watch the nap gradually settle with use as the leather becomes glossy and deepens in color.

As its Italian name giglio (lily) suggests, the coin pocket gussets are inspired by a lily flower. Its unadorned beauty reflects the flower's associations with purity and innocence.
・A pared-back design to minimize failures
We eliminated as much visible stitching as possible to reduce thread breakage over years of use. The coin pocket also dispenses with a snap fastening in favor of a smart tuck-in flap. By carefully adjusting the flap length and attachment, we aimed to keep it from slipping out naturally, even with stacked coins inside.
・Full-surface bonding to enhance leather strength
Most components use a generous full-surface bonding technique, in which two thinly skived pieces of leather are bonded together. This creates several times the strength while maintaining a neat thickness.
・Bill storage designed for smooth handling
The bill compartment wraps around the wallet and includes a half-size divider for smooth bill access. The overlapping card and coin sections are positioned so that their bulk interferes with each other as little as possible.
