This mini version of the Aldar bifold wallet lets you fully appreciate the substantial feel of durable bridle leather.
Designed around the dimensions of a 10,000-yen banknote and a card, it has a compact, efficient shape. Its easy-to-use layout is suited to today's increasingly cashless lifestyles.
There are four card pockets. An open pocket on the left when the wallet is opened can hold stacked cards or receipts for added convenience.
Leather is used generously throughout, including the interior and lining. This all-leather construction offers the substantial feel and durability that make leather so appealing.
All externally visible stitching, apart from the lining, is sewn by hand. This solid, practical wallet combines beautifully even stitches with a sturdy construction that is difficult to achieve in mass production.
【A Combination of Two Distinctive Leathers】
・The exterior uses Dyed Through bridle leather from Thomas Ware & Sons in the UK, a signature material of BRUSH.
This distinguished, authentic British bridle leather features a smooth, beautiful grain surface and a pronounced wax bloom.
Friction gradually works the surface bloom into the leather with use. Wax within the leather helps prevent drying while providing a moderate degree of water resistance.
Durable yet elegant, this premium leather suits everything from business settings to casual occasions.
・The interior uses richly textured Italian Margot leather.
A special buffing process known as a scratched finish is applied to cowhide shoulder leather, recreating the marks a wild cow might acquire from thorns in the brush. The result is a distinctive leather.
Its greatest appeal is its beautiful aging. Initially matte and slightly rough like washi paper, the surface gradually smooths with use, developing a refined sheen and a rich appearance.
Natural neck creases characteristic of shoulder leather add further individuality. Each piece has its own rich character, making this Italian leather a pleasure to use and watch develop.
