We eliminate decorations as much as possible and carefully tailor our products from high-quality materials. We are also thinking about a product that takes into account the changes that occur in the leather through long-term use.

Vesto is a body bag that embodies IKUMA's philosophy.

It started with riding a bicycle.

Vesto's origins lie in the creator's own daily life.

As people increasingly travel by bicycle, standard shoulder bags tend to move around their bodies.

So while I started using body bags and realized how convenient they were, I thought to myself, ``Is it possible to make something out of leather that I would like to use?'' and that's when I started making prototypes.

Our goal was to create a body bag that naturally hugs the body while not being too casual.

The name "Vesto" was born after repeated prototypes.

It comes from the Portuguese word "Vestir" which means "to wear" or "to wear".

The beauty of not showing any metal fittings.

The first thing you notice when you see Vesto is its quiet appearance.

Behind this is the clear idea of "hiding metal fittings as much as possible."

A tailoring called ``tamabuchi'' was adopted to reduce the presence of the zipper.

The leather is made thin, folded, shaped, and sewn.

Although it may seem like a small detail at first glance, this beading makes the zipper look less imposing and makes the rich expression of the Minerva Box stand out even more.

And there is another reason for this design.

The taut beaded edge acts like a ``core'' against the soft Minerva Box, keeping the bag from losing its shape.

To look beautiful and to be usable for a long time.

In IKUMA's manufacturing, the two are not separated.

If the material changes, the design will also change.

The interior is made of nylon from Limonta, Italy.

This material has an elegant luster and is highly durable.

However, because it is slippery, it makes it easier for items to move inside the bag.

Therefore, in addition to the conventional free pocket, we have created two vertical pockets.

One side has a gusset of approximately 2.5cm, making it easy to store thick items such as key cases.

Rather than just selecting a material, we redesign its usability to suit the properties of that material. **

The creator's way of thinking is reflected in the inconspicuous parts.

For long-term use, even out of sight.

The shoulder strap is another signature Vesto detail.

Minerva boxes are used on both the front and back sides, and the strongest parts of the leather are selected for cutting.

In addition, to prevent stretching caused by long-term use, the interior is equipped with anti-stretching technology.

The edges are smoothed and polished using a ``Kirimehonboshi'' method.

You may not notice each of these steps if you only look at the finished product.

Still, I'll try my hand at it.

This tailoring is unique to IKUMA, which creates products with the premise of being used for a long time.

The exterior is made from Italy's Badarassi Carlo's Minerva Box.
