Art and frugality.

The name Has reflects our philosophy towards manufacturing.
「HIDA arts & simplicity」。
Has was born from those initials.
arts is art. Simplicity means frugality.
At first glance, these two words may seem contradictory.
However, for Has, "art" and "frugality" are not separate things.
Focus on the expression of the material itself, rather than decorating it with extravagance. Bring out the beauty of the item without adding more than necessary.
There is a feeling that is similar to ``wabi-sabi,'' which has been cherished in Japan since ancient times.
He does not only find beauty in new and well-organized things, but also in changes over time, imperfections, and the appearance of things that have been used.
At Has, we capture this sense of wabi-sabi in the words "art and frugality."
Leather is also not uniform.
Each piece has scratches, wrinkles, and color shading, and the more you use it, the more it changes its appearance.
Rather than hiding these things, we accept them as the unique characteristics of the materials and incorporate them into our manufacturing process.
For Has, both his fascination with old things and folk crafts, and his choice of leather as a material, all connect to the same thing.
Beauty does not necessarily come from decoration.
Sometimes what remains after being stripped away has its own uniqueness.
“Art and frugality.”
The short name Has reflects the origin of manufacturing.
