Bringing the sensibility honed in Italy to Japanese craftsmanship

Leather craftsman Haruki Ikeda’s leather brand, acca bottega (acca bottega).
The brand name "acca" means the letter "H" in Italian, derived from the initial of Ikeda’s given name, Haruki. "Bottega" means "workshop" in Italian. In other words, the brand carries the meaning of Ikeda’s Workshop.
While in Italy, Ikeda was exposed to leather culture and artisanal craftsmanship, and was deeply captivated by their aesthetic and values. After returning to Japan, he has meticulously handcrafted each leather product, drawing on that experience as his foundation and blending it with Japan’s distinctive delicate technical skills.
acca bottega does not set out to create products that chase fleeting trends.
Leather pieces that can be used for years, even decades, growing more rich in character with every use and aging alongside their owners.
Even beyond their useful lifespan, once they have served their purpose, we hope they will pass into someone else’s hands like antiques or vintage tools, becoming objects with new value.
With this vision in mind, we create each and every piece without compromising on anything, from design and construction to the finishing of every tiny detail.
We bring out the full inherent charm of leather, letting it evolve and mature with the passage of time.
This is the artisanal philosophy of acca bottega.
