Over the years, I have been taught by many different craftsmen.

Or rather, it might be closer to say that I have "learned" from them.

They don't just teach you easily; you constantly observe, steal techniques with your eyes, and try things yourself.

Then you ask about the things you still can't do or don't understand.

I have acquired my skills by repeating that process.

Well, this too is one kind of "awareness" while working and learning.

Getting back to the point, what I want to talk about this time is not so much the techniques themselves, but

"what to be mindful of when working"

—small things like that.

Cutting, sewing, gluing, edge burnishing.

Even for tasks that look the same at first glance, the finish changes depending on where you direct your attention.

Starting next time, I'd like to introduce some of these "small points of awareness" that I learned from craftsmen.
